President Donald Trump says large-scale exploration for oil, gas and minerals could soon begin in Greenland. Greenlandic officials have not confirmed the plans, and recent US-Denmark-Greenland security arrangements do not grant exploration rights. Harsh Arctic conditions remain a major commercial obstacle.
