Diesel, Not Crude, May Be the Real Energy Crisis

Global diesel supplies could remain tight through winter as Middle East disruptions, reduced Russian refining capacity and low inventories squeeze the market. Industry executives warn diesel may become a bigger energy problem than crude itself, with refining bottlenecks, limited spare capacity and unusually strong margins increasing the risk of higher transport, industrial and consumer fuel costs.
