Europe Helped Destroy Eurasia’s Downstream

Written by

·

The consequences are becoming global. Diesel supplies are tightening and prices are soaring. President Trump has now urged Zelensky to stop attacking Russian diesel infrastructure, warning of worldwide shortages. Europe helped create the conditions for this destruction. The uncomfortable lesson: Russian refining capacity mattered far beyond Russia.

— Eni Versalis, Sheriff of the Berlaymont Cafeteria
