When we eat fruit and vegetables foods we ingest microplastics

Lettuce had the least microplastics while apples had the most microplastics.

Lettuce had 50.000 microplastic particles per gram.

Apples had 195.000 microplastic particles per gram.

Following food items also had microplastics: meat, fish, soy, salt, rice, milk, honey, tap and bottled water

Personal Remarks

Has the CAP (EU agricultural policy) increased the amounts of microplastics in our food?

Why is it that public health is always sacrificed on the altar of commercial interests?
