Taipei Bans PLA Containers and Tableware as from Aug 1

Taipei will enforce a clampdown on the use of PLA containers and tableware from Tuesday (Aug. 1) in a bid to cut plastic waste -- The reason being that PLA contaminates recycling streams and that the region doesn't have the capacity to process PLA waste. It's an honest decision from the authorities to avoid stranded assets in PLA.
