Another Pervert Effect in Making Circular Palm Oil

Farmers face an uncertain transition to using composting methods to boost nitrogen content in plantation soil, as Indonesia has removed palm oil from a list of commodities qualifying for subsidised chemical fertilisers -- Removing subsidies on chemical fertilizers is a good decision for the environment but not for the small farmers. A simple solution to help the small farmer would be to replace the "paid by volume/production" to "paid by the hour" . Not only is the palm oil industry disastrous for the environment, it is also disastrous in terms of human rights.
