Residents near W.R. Grace’s Columbia, Maryland site are stepping up opposition to its pilot plastics-recycling unit. The Stop Grace Coalition has protested, challenged zoning decisions and urged regulators to revoke permits, citing concerns over emissions, odors, noise, accident risks and limited disclosure of process details. Grace says the unit meets legal standards and operates safely.
