The report, published by The Heartland Institute, was compiled via satellite and in-person survey visits to NOAA weather stations that contribute to the “official” land temperature data in the United States. The research shows that 96% of these stations are corrupted by localized effects of urbanization – producing heat-bias because of their close proximity to asphalt, machinery, and other heat-producing, heat-trapping, or heat-accentuating objects. Placing temperature stations in such locations violates NOAA’s own published standards (see section 3.1 at this link), and strongly undermines the legitimacy and the magnitude of the official consensus on long-term climate warming trends in the United States.
One of the difficult things in the current state of affairs is to know who to believe and who to trust. To the question: can we “blindly” believe governments (agencies) and studies 100 % ? Unfortunately, I’m afraid the answer is “no” as money can buy science, media, governments and policies.
There seem to be an “official” climate change narrative and agenda …. where ‘profits’ are more important than solving the “real” environmental problems. It seems as if the “official” narrative is distracting us from solving the “real” problems and we’re being provided with fake “greenwashing” solutions.
The official narrative tells us that there are two camps:
- climate change deniers who are funded and promoted by the oil industry.
- the “official” climate change narrative that seems to blame man-made CO2 emissions on all climate problems and who finds its roots in an organisation called the World Economic Forum (WEF). The WEF promotes “climate” solutions such as “Net Zero” policies and “carbon emission trading”.
- WEF represents the interests of the largest multinational corporations who also happen to be the biggest polluters…. and they also represent the oil companies. It seems as if the two antagonists (sides) of the “official” narrative are connected to the WEF and this is where the red flags starts beaming.
- Net Zero means that by buying “carbon (emissions) certificates” you can “claim” that your products and services are “carbon neutral”; for instance carbon neutral plastic, fuel, transport etc.
The concept of “carbon neutral” is a bit absurd as nothing is carbon neutral. Carbon seems to be the most important building block in the universe, so unless you’re ready to believe in fairy tales …. carbon neutral is a theoretical concept inspired by “double-entry bookkeeping ” where financial reality is converted into a balance sheet with debit and credit, actives and passives. Where each carbon debit action has its carbon credit reaction to neutralise it …. where each carbon (debit) atom has a carbon (credit) certificate to balance the carbon transaction.
Carbon neutral plastic or my favourite one …. carbon neutral corporations…Seriously? …. I couldn’t’ have come up with something funnier or more absurd than that … but how did government public officials buy into that?
I can understand that the WEF wants us to believe that climate problems can be solve through a double carbon entry into the balance sheet …. but that government public officials and the official media buy into that story … environmental reality doesn’t work like a balance sheet.
I remain a true believe in the good nature of men, but I don’t think we’ll solve this equation ….. we’ll deplete all natural resources on the planet, we’ll pollute every river, sea and ocean, we’ll cut down every tree.
And the real culprit is greed ….. and money …. By the way, do you know where the word “money” comes from?
It got its name from an Ancient Egyptian god called “Amon” …. In Egyptian grammar, vowels could be replaced or removed: aMon …. (A)Mon(Y)……Mony.
The name of the God is Amon (money)…. the religion is greed…. and “profits” are the new prophets.
Shall I say Amen or Amon to that?
