Beach cleanup in Brazil highlights dangers of plastic pollution
Celebrated on the third Saturday of September since 2018, World Cleanup Day is the largest international environmental mobilization aimed at combating the world’s solid waste problem. In Rio de Janeiro, hundreds took to one of Guanabara Bay’s most polluted beaches to draw attention to the dangers of plastic pollution.
