U.S. Consumer Perception of Compostable Packaging

The results are not a surprise. The plastic compostable industry hasn't done a remarkable job in terms of communication and marketing. The strategy was 'keep it quiet'. Initially, I thought it was due to "being greedy". From what I understood recently, the reasoning was: keep it quiet as long as the industrial composters don't buy-in into the project. Today, I think the strategy may have been justified.
