NL Prime Minister Lobbied for Shell to get EU Subsidies (FREE)

Impressive that this still happens in 2023.

Prime Minister Mark Rutte interfered to help Shell get a 150 million euro subsidy for constructing a hydrogen plant in Rotterdam.

Shell threatened to miss out on the subsidy due to carelessness, but at Rutte’s request, Ministry officials used “detours” and a “flexible” interpretation of the rules to get the oil and gas giant the subsidy.

The European Commission awarded the subsidy of 150 million euros to the company.

According to FTM, Shell, which made 38.5 billion euros in profit last year, threatened to withdraw the project if it did not receive the subsidy

Personal Remarks

Oil company “Shell” through its “Avantium” spin off is one the largest beneficiary of EU “bio-economy” grants …. CBI JU (EX – BBI JU) has been pouring millions and millions in the pockets of Avantium and they haven’t produced a single centilitre of anything.

I though Mark Rutte was one of the good guys in town, but recent scandals have proven the opposite.
