Paula has been promoted from European Sales Director, a role she has held for the last three years, and will involve the identification and commercialisation of business opportunities in Parkside key packaging markets including convenience, protein and snack foods, confectionery and tobacco.

Speaking of her appointment, Paula said: “At Parkside, we pride ourselves on being innovation leaders in the print and packaging sectors and I am delighted to take up this new role in a fascinating period of global growth for the company. With new technology investments at our UK site, significant growth in Asia across a range of applications and the extraordinary demand we are seeing for our compostable, recyclable and lightweight flexible packaging solutions, I’m excited about what the future holds for us as a company.”

Parkside has repositioned itself in recent years, moving the company firmly into the food  packaging sector and further bolstering its Asian tobacco packaging business.

The announcement of the global sales director role reflects the geographical expansion of the business and the importance of the European and Asian markets to the company.

Robert Adamson, Managing Director of Parkside, added: “We are delighted to see Paula progress into her new role. Her extensive experience is invaluable in supporting the company’s growth and innovation strategy as we head into 2020.

She represents the quality of personnel we aim to attract at Parkside, and we are excited by her potential to drive the business further forward.”
