Today, we’re one of the world’s largest agricultural processors and food ingredient providers, with approximately 40,000 employees serving customers in nearly 200 countries.
With a global value chain that includes approximately 450 crop procurement locations, more than 330 food and feed ingredient manufacturing facilities, 62 innovation centers and the world’s premier crop transportation network, we connect the harvest to the home, making products for food, animal feed, industrial and energy uses.
In 1902, George A. Archer and John W. Daniels began a linseed crushing business. In 1923, Archer-Daniels Linseed Company acquired Midland Linseed Products Company, and the Archer-Daniels-Midland Company was formed.
Every decade since our corporate inception, ADM has added a major profit center to our agribusiness: milling, processing, specialty feed ingredients, specialty food ingredients, nutrition and more.
ADM Industrial Products
- Chemicals
Since our company’s founding more than a century ago, ADM has produced high-quality renewable chemicals for a range of industries.
Our customer-centric approach—along with our global network, market acumen, and our legacy of innovation and technical expertise—make ADM the right choice to provide you with bio-based chemicals and resources.
- Construction
ADM produces modified vegetable-based oils for a new generation of water repellants and wood preservatives that resist mold, decay and termites, yet make less impact on the environment than their chemical-based predecessors.
- Packaging
Price competitiveness drives success in the domestic packaging materials industry. ADM is committed to providing the quality starches you need at a fair price and on time, supported by our world-class production facilities, distribution infrastructure and commitment to customer service.
- Personal Care
Nature provides some of the world’s best personal care ingredients. ADM taps that potential, offering vegetable-based lipids, natural antioxidants and soya ingredients that can give your products enhanced performance.
- Plastics
As the marketplace demands more sustainable products, and as you enhance your plastics specifications for bio-based content and performance, you can look to ADM as a primary source for inputs made from renewable resources.
- Pulp & Paper
In the pulp and paper industry, change has become the norm: the rise of low-priced imports, the trend toward a “paperless society,” and more diversified paper demand.
Your ideal starch supplier should bring you the raw materials and production expertise that run the gamut and help you manufacture everything from recycled papers and copy papers to high-end fine and glossy stocks.
That supplier is ADM.
