Personal Remarks
I believe Trump genuinely wants to end the war. He could easily exploit the Cold War narrative, as his predecessors and European politicians have done, by continuing to fund what I consider a lost cause. But every additional day of war means more Ukrainian and Russian soldiers dying. Reducing the human toll must be the overriding priority. I believe Trump understands this and is acting accordingly.
