Petrobras has announced a new oil discovery in ultra-deep waters off Brazil’s Amapá coast. The find was made at the Morpho well in block FZA-M-59, where hydrocarbons had already been identified in August. The discovery strengthens Petrobras’ exploration campaign in Brazil’s Equatorial Margin, an area the state-controlled company considers one of its most promising new oil frontiers.
