Canada Gets a New Oil Giant

Tamarack Valley Energy and Headwater Exploration are merging in a deal worth about C$10 billion, creating a major new Canadian oil producer. The combined company will focus heavily on Alberta’s Clearwater region and produce more than 80,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day, strengthening its position in Canada’s crude oil industry.
