SATIRE — After decades of recycling targets, coloured bins, collection schemes and inspirational arrows chasing each other in circles, the EU has concluded that the recycling fairy tale simply needed a sequel.
Enter PPWR: bigger targets, better labels, more recycling and, naturally, more rules.
Brussels promises that this time the story will have a happy ending.
The previous 40 years? Apparently just the pilot episode.
At some point, however, one small question remains: how exactly are they going to make all that waste disappear?
Perhaps that’s being saved for the finale.
