Novamont and Syensqo, together with Altair Chemical and Henkel Italia, were awarded the Responsible Care Prize yesterday in Milan, at the headquarters of Federchimica , an award given every year following the presentation of the report of the same name on the results of the voluntary program for the promotion of sustainable development in the chemical industry .
Italian bioplastics manufacturer Novamont received recognition for developing a tool for calculating the carbon footprint of products (single-use bags and packaging), which can be used independently by customers. Aligned with ISO 14040 and 14044 (LCA) standards and international standards for calculating carbon footprints, the tool developed by the Novara-based company passed a third-party audit at the end of 2024 ( read article ).
