Ethanol Increases Crop Production During Drought

Pretreating soil with ethanol protects plants from drought -- Maybe it increases production yield, but is it really good for the soil and the (micro) organisms living in the soil? Steroids make a man stronger but does it make him healthier? We need to switch from intensive to sustainable agriculture ... and this may be something we cannot leave in the hands of the industry.
