The International Energy Agency is accelerating the release of approximately 100 million barrels of remaining emergency oil reserves, including over 20 million barrels of diesel. Around 330 million barrels have already been released since March. The move aims to ease global fuel shortages and soaring prices. However, markets remain disappointed, with diesel supplies still constrained by geopolitical conflicts and refinery disruptions.

Personal Remarks

While the EU plays poker with European taxpayers’ money, the US, Russia, Saudi Arabia and China are taking steps to bring oil prices down.
