Chevron and Egypt are finalizing agreements for a $4 billion project connecting Cyprus’s Aphrodite gas field to Egyptian infrastructure. A proposed 280-kilometre underwater pipeline would transport natural gas to Egypt for processing and export through existing LNG terminals. Negotiations focus on remaining technical, legal and commercial terms before investment approval. Chevron is partnering with Shell and NewMed Energy.
