Norway has attracted bids from 21 companies in its latest oil and gas exploration licensing round, including Shell, Equinor, Aker BP, ConocoPhillips and TotalEnergies. The acreage spans the North Sea, Norwegian Sea and Barents Sea. The strong participation underlines continued industry interest in Norwegian hydrocarbons despite Europe’s broader push toward lower-carbon energy.
