Note from the CEO

As we move into the second half of 2025, I’ve been reflecting on the tangible progress we’ve made and how it’s shaping the road ahead.

In this issue of our newsletter, you’ll find updates on two of our important initiatives: our Overcoming Barriers to PCR report, which outlines practical steps to expand use of recycled content, and our Reuse in Retail effort, which explores scalable, store-level models for reuse. Both reflect the Pact’s focus on advancing circularity through real-world, system-level solutions.

Efforts like these are only possible because of the collective expertise and commitment of our network. While recent media stories have focused on some changes in the U.S. Plastics Pact’s membership, that’s only part of the story. We know that membership in any coalition evolves over time. What matters most is staying focused on the work—and continuing to engage the broad range of stakeholders who are ready to act.

Thank you to all who bring their expertise and curiosity to this effort. This is what progress looks like.
