Most Stupid Bioplastic Application Ever

Written by

·

On PLIXXENT LinkedIn page, we can read:

We have signed an agreement with Avantium for the supply of 100% plant-based FDCA from their FDCA Flagship Plant. This innovative monomer will enable us to develop FDCA-based polyurethane insulation foams that combine sustainability with high performance.

Remark

Using FDCA in insulation foams for buildings is close to being stupid. Its greenwashing.

Avantium is signing so many offtake agreements that clients will end up with 5 Kg FDCA each.
