Avantium invited the queen of the Netherlands to cut the ribbon of their new FDCA plant.
Reducing our dependency from fossil oil ….. according to the Dutch Royal house.
What a circus:
- Avantium is the daughter startup of the Shell oil company and the NL Royal House has been the (co-) owner of the Shell oil company since it’s beginning.
- if Avantium had a good product / technology they wouldn’t need a buffalo bill show … the attention was more on the queen than on the plant.
- Inviting Queen Maxima is an insult to democracy and human rights. Máxima Zorreguieta is the daughter of the Torture Minister of the Argentinian dictatorship (Read more: Jorge Zorreguieta, ‘dirty war’ minister who couldn’t escape his past)

Look closely at the first picture, Avantium CEO Tom van Aken is standing on a manhole cover…that’s what I call Instant Karma. Avantium is a greedy company and they hired the cheapest PR people they could find … resulting in this ‘faux pas‘. I would have seen this immediately and told him to move 1 meter away. I would have charged him a 1.500 € for the day but we would have avoided this sewage crap.
Tom van Aken ‘s Instant karma is …. sewage …. the whole fucking place is a sewage dump according to my buddhist monks friends.
