Supplier of Co-op’s Compostable Bags Frustrated by Federal Plastics Ban

The founder of the Calgary-based company behind Co-op’s compostable shopping bags says he can’t understand why the federal government is lumping them in with its single-use plastics ban, even though his product contains absolutely no plastic -- Canadian suppliers and producers of compostable plastic tableware (including PLA) are looking for a Plan B, diverting to recyclable bioplastics.
