A U.S. federal judge has dismissed a major lawsuit accusing ExxonMobil, Chevron, Dow, DuPont and other petrochemical companies of misleading consumers about plastic recycling. Ford County, Kansas, and individual plaintiffs alleged an industry-wide campaign exaggerating plastics’ recyclability. Judge Toby Crouse ruled the complaint was “light on facts” connecting individual defendants’ conduct to the plaintiffs’ alleged injuries.
