A new Environmental Justice Foundation report warns that chemicals used in everyday plastics may pose serious health risks. Researchers found 92.8% of the plastic chemicals they assessed presented a high risk to human health, while more than half of those high-risk substances were unregulated in the EU, Japan, South Korea and California. EJF is calling for tougher global controls worldwide.
