Saudi Pipeline Breakdown Puts Global Oil Supply at Risk

Written by

·

An outage on Saudi Arabia’s East-West pipeline is threatening a major alternative route for crude exports, potentially affecting around 4% of global oil supply. The pipeline carries oil to the Red Sea, bypassing the Strait of Hormuz. With regional tensions already disrupting energy flows, prolonged downtime could tighten crude availability, push prices higher and add pressure across global petrochemical and plastics markets.
