Dow May Quit Aramco Plastics Venture

Dow is considering selling its 35% stake in Sadara Chemical, its $20 billion Saudi joint venture with Aramco. The massive Jubail complex produces more than 3 million tonnes of chemicals and plastics annually. Dow reported a negative $793 million investment balance in Sadara in June, as weak demand, global overcapacity and regional disruption continue to pressure the chemical industry.
