The EU often promotes the free movement of goods as one of the cornerstones of European integration.

Yet, when you look at the United States, it seems that the “Made in USA” label carries far more weight than the unrestricted flow of products across state lines.

Perhaps that’s something the EU should take note of. Economic integration is important, but so is fostering pride in domestic manufacturing and production.
