I’ve been looking differently to China for some time now and see China as a positive example.
Their education system is inspiring. They manage to keep discipline at the centre of their education system. Something countries have failed to do.
The feeling of security is also something where China can be credited for. A women can walk in a minidress at night in the streets of China without being annoyed by anyone. A bit like in Japan.
In Brussels for instance, there’s lots of insecurity due to uncontrolled immigration. Some new migrants are behaving in a very rude way and staring aggressively at people. You do not see courtesy or feeling of gratefulness in the way some migrants behave in the streets of Brussels.
China can be applauded for those things: feeling of security and education system.
However, it was brought to my attention that China is still facing corruption and human rights abuses. I’m not talking about human rights abuses towards criminals because I’m in favour of strict disciplinary policies towards criminals. In Belgium for instance, some rapists do not go to jail because the prisons and jails are full. Apparently, 80 % of prison detainees in Belgium are not even from Belgian origin. Imagine the trauma for the victim to see their executioner walk freely. This is not the problem of China and Japan …. where you go to jail when you commit a crime.
Chinese human rights abuses are done towards the working class … people who build stuff for the West. And corruption because all the money goes into the pockets of a few … according to the press …. instead of in the pockets of the Chinese middle class.
However, this is not completely correct because when you compare the evolution of the average revenue per middle class Chinese family over the last 30 years compared the the average revenue of the middle class Western family .. you see that Chinese families saw their revenues increased exponentially compared to the stagnating revenue of Western families.
So we point our finger at China but the West is a bit in a crisis to say the least. Western politicians are champions in pointing their fingers at China but are nowhere to be seen when it comes to solving insecurity problems in Western Europe.
