Based in Southern California, Verdezyne has assembled a top team of scientists from the biotechnology and chemicals industries who are reducing dependence on oil by changing the way chemicals are made. Our proprietary technology uses fermentation followed by unique separation techniques. The yeast used in Verdezyne’s process is specifically designed to produce chemicals and additives that are used in everyday products and applications. Our proprietary yeast, combined with proven manufacturing technology, produces a broad range of building blocks used in nylons, plastics, and corrosion inhibitors. We have also produced a number of high-value terpene molecules, including the carotenoids beta-carotene, lycopene, astaxanthin, and lutein, which have applications for nutraceuticals and personal care products.
