Toyota adopts Denso’s bioplastics for its navigation system          

DENSO Corporation (Japan) has been conducting research and development on  plant-derived plastic materials, which are based on plant molecular structures, in order to reduce impacts on the environment. It has recently disclosed that it is using bio-polycarbonate (PC) made from starch and urethane resin extracted from castor oil in some of its products. Avantium completes IPO and heads for first commercial plant to produce FDCA

In the Netherlands, Avantium completed its highly-anticipated initial public offering, raising $109.5M (€103M) via the sale of 9,401,793 shares at $11.70 (€11) per share, giving the company a market capitalization of $294M (€277M). Trading will begin on March 15th 2017 on Euronext Amsterdam and Euronext Brussels under the symbol AVTX. Xinhuarun and Reverdia partner to develop microcellular bio-based PU foam for shoe soles

Reverdia (the JV between Roquette, France and Royal DSM, Holland) and Dezhou Xinhuarun Technology (China) have signed an agreement to jointly develop and promote Biosuccinium™-based microcellular polyurethane (PU) foams.
